ATTACK OF THE GUITAR FROM OUTER SPACE

This instrument was most certainly played by Buck Rogers and his original Space Cadets during the fabulous 50s suburban invasion from outer space.

This one-of-a-kind instrument was built by luthier/artist Rick McKee (aka Ukulele Dick). It reeks of fabulous 50's space age details, including an air pressure guage, a switch plate from a 50's stove top, and a mysterious, futuristic ornamentations from the past. The fret board features hand-done scrimshaw images of robots, planets, space ships, alien symbols and lightening bolts. A framed magnifying glass on the lower bout offers a scary glimpse of a printed ciruit board by Howard Dumble. A plexiglass plate allows viewing of the actual faux circuitry on the back. The outer edges are rimmed with brass studs.

In addition to looking really cool, this great-sounding guitar features three single coil, fully shielded pick ups. With seven possible configurations, plus volu
me and tone, this ROBOT-esque GUITAR offers a wide range of space age possibilities for customizing your own unique sound.
