Tunisia

She had traveled to Tunisia
She had slides to prove her trip
Slides of people practically naked
And a man with a bone in his lip

She had traveled to Tunisia
Rome or Paris would not do
Too plebian for this farm town girl
She wanted a wider worldview

To the children in her hometown
She is strange and wonderful
All the grown ups think she's dangerous
There's no telling what she might do

They grow onions in her hometown
You can smell them from the Interstate
In Tunisia the air smells like honey
It's heavy with kismet and fate

Now this traveler sits at home nights
With the memory of her trip
She has given her heart to Tunisia
And the man with the bone in his lip
The man with the bone in his lip
